After years of working in the specialty of Pediatric Emergency medicine, Bonni Goldstein, MD, developed an interest in the science of medical cannabis after witnessing its beneficial effects in an ill friend.  Since then she has evaluated thousands of patients for use of medical cannabis.  She has a special interest in treating children with intractable epilepsy, autism, and advanced cancers, as well as adults with chronic pain, autoimmune illnesses, and other endocannabinoid deficiency disorders.

In the video interview below, Dr. Goldstien shares the story of a young 7-year-old girl who came to her suffering with seizures. The girl tried a number of different anti-seizure medications. Some of the medications worked, but they all had terrible side effects. Dr. Goldstein started the girl on cannabis oil and successfully weened her off the medications. Her seizures are under control and she is now able to read and write, something she could not do when she first came to Dr. Goldstein.

Dr. Goldstein will be sharing similar cases from her practice at this year’s CannMed conference, which will take place at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School, April 9-11. Register today to take advantage of early bird pricing!
