Objective
To investigate the effectiveness of whole-plant CBD suppositories in the reduction of moderate to severe period-related pain.
Methods
This was a before-after open-label, prospective cohort market research study on women who reported regular menstrual cycles and moderate-to-severe period-related pain.
Cycle 1: At baseline, participants were surveyed on their menstrual symptoms during a cycle without the use of suppositories. They completed the Menstrual Distress Questionnaire (MEDI-Q) at three time points: baseline, end of cycle 1, and end of cycle 2. During their cycle, participants also answered a series of daily questions regarding menstrual symptoms.
Cycle 2: Upon completing cycle 1, participants received whole-plant CBD suppositories to use in their next cycle. They then answered the same set of questions from cycle1 while using the suppositories to assess any changes in menstrual symptoms.

Secondary end points:
Learning Objectives:
- Assess the impact of whole-plant CBD suppositories on menstrual pain and related symptoms
- Highlight changes in medication use and overall symptom management across menstrual cycles
- Discuss the limited existing research on CBD suppositories and the need for further investigation.
