The Institute of Cannabis Research at Colorado State University Pueblo

The Institute of Cannabis Research at Colorado State University Pueblo is the state of Colorado’s official cannabis research agency. The ICR currently funds 20 major research projects including 11 medical research, 5 public health and safety, 2 plant biology, and 2 extraction and testing studies. These projects are conducted by leading cannabis scientists and collaborators at the state’s major universities. The ICR additionally conducts cannabis research internally at its facilities in Pueblo. The ICR is mandated to disseminate cannabis science and so sponsors the Journal of Cannabis Research (a publication of Springer Nature), presents monthly webinars, bimonthly newsletters, and participates in a spectrum of conferences, including by partnering with Oregon State University’s Global Hemp Innovation Center to produce its annual Cannabis Research Conferences.
