Kyle Baker, founder of CLEANTheory, Inc. and Chief Product Officer, leverages two decades of experience in plant pathology, microbiology, oxidation chemistry, and automation technology to help innovate systems for suppression of pathogens in indoor agriculture on a preventative basis and without the need for any post-harvest remediation. After having investigated and applied the use of chlorine dioxide (ClO2) into 16 core markets, including early adaptation of ClO2 for disinfection and sterilization in brewery and winery operations, the application of ClO2 under the Minor Use/Minor Species Act, as well as supporting wastewater treatment patents in the automotive and secondary manufacturer markets, Kyle brought his expertise into the cannabis industry in 2014.
As a cannabis entrepreneur, Kyle focuses his attention on scientifically validated and industrial best practice-based methods to ensure preventative pathogen control and end-to-end delivery of clean and compliant cannabis for cultivators, consumers, and most notably medical patients who deserve the safest products. The result is cannabis which is free from pathogen-based toxins, consistently passes all regulatory testing, and maximizes the genetic potential of each cultivar as demonstrated by a nearly universal increase in total THC, minor cannabinoids, and terpenes. Kyle currently serves as an advisory board member for Southern Illinois University’s Cannabis Science programs as well as being with the Association of Food and Drug Officials’ (AFDO) cannabis committee.
