Dr. Mackler serves on the Boards of OncoFlur, Inc., CanniMed, Inc (Toronto Exchange), ANEW Biotech Inc., Woodmont Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Vastora, Inc., and is on several Board operational committees. He is the Chairman of the Board and co-founder of Ethicann Pharmaceuticals Inc. a reformulator of approved ethical cannabinoid drugs.  He was previously a Board Member & VP Clinical/Regulatory for Immunomic Therapeutics Inc. (ITI), an allergy vaccine company that licensed its human allergy business to Astellas in 2015 for $340MM, frequently meeting with the Japanese regulatory authorities.  He was a Venture Partner, TVM (Techno Venture Management) and is a high net worth private investor in several biomedical startup companies. 

Dr. Mackler served as an FDA lawyer for 26 years with hands-on expertise in biologics/drugs and medical devices, and continues to meet, with FDA, Health Canada, and EMA on product development.  His expertise includes developing orphan products and most recently interacting with FDA on oncology, neurology,… therapeutic durgs/biologics – gene and cell therapy.  He has both written and participated in numerous pre-IND meeting, IND submissions, New Drug Applications (NDAs)/Biological License Applications (BLAs) over the 30 years, and continue to do so recently preparing and filing INDs/CTAs to FDA and Health Canada and organized clinical trials.  He holds a Ph.D. Immunology Immunochemistry with over 100 publications and was a study section member, and a member of the NIH/NHLBI SBIR Special Emphasis Review Panel focusing on SBIRs/STTRs.
