Dr. Schulze is the Senior Director of Flower Product Development at the Cronos Group, one of the largest, internationally-operating cannabis companies. He is a horticultural expert with a dual Ph.D. in Plant Physiology and Toxicology, and a natural curiosity for science and learning. He has 20+ years experience in the horticultural industry, and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on nutrient acquisition and ionic and metabolic profiling of tissues. Dr. Schulze's experience includes project management and consulting in the agricultural/horticultural sector for major national and international clients at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Deloitte, and as a Director at APMI Associates. He received a B.Sc. in Horticultural Sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin and a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto where he obtained several scholarships and awards.In his capacity of Senior Director of Flower Product Development, he is working on innovative growing solutions for scientific, technical, and operational obstacles that inherently come with growing cannabis at scale. Dr. Schulze developed one of the most advanced breeding programs in the industry, creating the genetics that have led to the best-selling flower brands in several countries today. His philosophy is to combine science with the best-practices from the horticultural and related industries, to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality cannabis for patients and recreational users alike.
