Mitch Tipton serves as Executive Vice President of Cultivation for Verano Holdings (Cboe CA: VRNO) (OTCQX: VRNOF), a leading, vertically integrated, U.S. multi-state cannabis company. As one of the largest cannabis companies in the nation, Verano has active operations across 13 states that include 14 cultivation and production facilities and more than 130 dispensaries that operate under the company’s flagship Zen LeafTM and MÜVTM banners. Mitch’s passion for the agricultural and horticultural sectors started at a young age, guiding his career path towards his current role with Verano. His interest in agriculture led him to further his education at The Ohio State University and University of Tennessee-Martin, where he obtained a bachelor’s degrees in Horticulture and Farm and Ranch Management. Observing the healing power of the plant and opportunity for growth, Mitch joined the cannabis industry in 2017 with AltMed/MÜV after securing a cultivation license in the Florida market. In 2021, following the MÜV and Verano merger that was executed in conjunction with the company’s IPO, he assumed his current position as Executive Vice President of Cultivation, where he plays a leadership role overseeing national cultivation operations for the company’s more than 1 million square feet of cultivation capacity. Mitch’s extensive knowledge and experience in commercial agriculture and controlled-indoor cultivation have been essential to scaling the company’s high-quality cultivation operations nationwide. During his tenure, the company has won numerous cannabis awards across a variety of markets, including: High Times Illinois Cannabis Cup (“Best Indica Flower” - Guru strain), the Maryland Leaf Bowl (“Best Haze/Jack” - Yum Yum strain), Arizona's Erl Cup (Tres Leches strain, 2nd place). A native of Florida, Mitch is based out of Verano’s Apollo Beach cultivation facility.
