BIO
During Sheri L. Orlowitz’ distinguished 30-year career, she has served as a federal prosecutor, corporate attorney, entrepreneur, investor, turn-around expert, and philanthropist. Sheri has owned and led a dozen very different companies, some acquired from Kodak, Tyco International, and Applied Magnetics, employing over a thousand people and raising $100 million in the process. Her experience as an entrepreneur, investor, board director, and former federal prosecutor make her uniquely qualified not only to lead companies, but also to oversee compliance and board governance. Sheri has been a member of Women Corporate Directors since 2007 Sheri founded and is Chairman of the Board of the Council for Federal Cannabis Regulation whose members include former federal leaders and leading professionals in the cannabis and mainstream industry, FDA, scientists, government relations, law, and social equity. Sheri’s commitment to social justice led her 25 years ago to establish the Orlowitz-Lee Children’s Advocacy Center, a non-profit to address human trafficking and the development of a National Social Equity Model.
