Taz Turner is the Chairman and CEO of CordovaCann, and Canadian-domiciled, publicly-listed company that operates cannabis assets in Canada and the United States. Mr. Turner has been investing in cannabis companies since 2013, as the early licensed producers began to form under the regulatory framework of Health Canada and as the first states in the US began operating within recreational cannabis regulatory regimes.Mr. Turner is also the General Partner of Southshore Capital Partners, LP, a fundamentally-driven global investment fund. Southshore invests primarily in companies in the technology and consumer industries across all stages of the business lifecycle.Prior to founding Southshore, Mr. Turner worked for Tala Investments, a value-focused fund investing in global equity and debt securities. He previously spent 3 years as a Partner at the hedge fund Trafelet Delta Funds, and 4 years as an Associate at the private equity firm ABS Capital Partners. In both roles he specialized in technology, media, and telecom investments. Mr. Turner received a Bachelor of Science in both Commerce and Mathematics from the University of Virginia.
